Run the River 5K – Coming This September!
In partnership with Meet Ottumwa, we’re excited to bring you Run the River—our inaugural 5K and 1.5 Mile race happening Saturday, September 13th! Starting at the Southeast Iowa JBS Sports Center, this community-first event is the perfect way to enjoy a beautiful morning, get active, and have some fun with friends and family.
Event Details
Date: Saturday, September 13th
Location: Southeast Iowa JBS Sports Center
Check-In: 8:15 AM
Race Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
River Rush Rate
5K Run: $30 per person until Aug 16th
1.5 Mile Fun Run: $20 per person until Aug 16th
(Ages 10 and up welcome!)
After August 16th, the price will increase to $35 for the 5K & $25 for the 1.5mi Fun Run.

All registered participants receive an official Run the River T-shirt, designed by Schroeder’s Graphics in Ottumwa! To guarantee a shirt by the event, you must be registered prior to August 29th!
